Pham Huu Ai : Beware Blackmail, Fraud, Larceny BEWARE!! The Criminal, Pham Huu Ai

Wanted for BLACKMAIL & FRAUD   Update 19 July 2005

FOREIGN & INTERNATIONAL TRADERS

ACT AT YOUR OWN RISK WITH THIS MAN!
PHAM HUU AI: 29 years old; Residence Address: 37/2A Nguyen Van Luong, Ward 16, Go Vap District;  Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  Tel: 84-8-894-8365;  Cell: 84-8-091-391-2145; E-mail phaq@hcm.vnn.vn

This notice was first posted in late May, 2004. Since that time, V V G and its founder have been and are still under assault from this man who was terminated for gross acts of misconduct on 15 May 2004. Since his dismissal, the Criminal Pham Huu Ai has been going over the top to try to damage and destroy V V G and gravely injure its founder and his children.

As of Monday, 23 August 2004, the criminal PHAM HUU AI was still spreading his lies about
V V G and our founder. See update.

On information and belief, the Criminal Pham Huu Ai is now employed by the Forestry Products & Handicrafts Production & Export Import Joint Stock Company known as UPEXIM, that belongs to The Ministry of Trade.

The name of the General Director is Truong Vui. In charge of handicraft business is Vice Director Nguyen Dac Thanh. UPEXIM’s website is http://www.upexim.com.vn

The Criminal Pham Huu Ai works in the Sales Department in the company offices located at 4-6 Ho Tung Mau St., Dist. 1, Ho Chi Minh City, SR Vietnam. The company’s E-mail address is upeximfurnitur@hcm.fpt.vn

International buyers and traders, BEWARE of the criminal Pham Huu Ai.

Due to the growing size of this challenge and the need to make easier reading (this page is now among the 21 most popular of VVG 300+ pages that are read by as many as 25,000 readers every month), we have put the historical letters and more recent updates on linked pages.  New windows should open for each page, but if they don't you can return here using your browsers return button.

He has not succeeded. In fact, 100% of V V G clients report their continuing support of VVG; and 100% of all comments received from those who have seen this warning are in support of V V G for tackling this criminal and not bowing to his crimes.

We found in early May that this man fraudulently raised the price of many handicraft products when reporting them to V V G, thus causing V V G to report higher prices to some of our clients.

Some vendors were not aware of this practice. Their records clearly show they bid lower prices to the Criminal Pham Huu Ai than the man reported to V V G.

In one case the excess profits the criminal intended to keep to himself would have amounted to over US$ 360,000 each year! In another case the excess profits if paid to Pham Huu Ai would have amounted to over US$ 10,000. We stopped these and other crimes from happening.

We have reason to believe that at least one vendor worked with the Criminal Pham Huu Ai intending to share with him in the excess profits: Nguyen Thanh Tung of Hung Yen Company in HCMC.

VVG stopped all business with that vendor. V V G will alert our clients about this discovered practice if we have reason to believe their prices were adversely effected. To date we believe we stopped all harm to all of our clients.

As a result of our firing the criminal, Pham Huu Ai, he wrote to unknown numbers of our 2,300+ contacts and 90+ clients, intentionally spreading lies with the sole purpose of causing financial harm to
V V G and wrongfully enriching himself.

When we posted this notice to warn our contacts and clients of the lies, the criminal Pham Huu Ai turned to blackmail seeking to compel us to remove this notice.

Criminal Pham Huu Ai, bold and greedy, is not blessed with long or broad business experience, or it would now seem, forethought. He wrote his threat of blackmail on his own E-mail server and then signed his name! See sections 1.2 and 1.3, below.

The threat to make false accusations of misconduct by V V G or its founder in order to compel VVG to yield our company's resources to his theft is groundless but can cause harm or mischief.

The criminal is now attacking V V G's web site and E-mail with viruses, but to date that too has failed.

We have no way to determine all the people and companies to whom the Criminal Pham Huu Ai intentionally spread his lies, but we know he does this to "get even," with the intention of bringing harm to
V V G and its founder, and as well to unjustly enrich himself, ONLY because he was caught.

This warning is directed to (i) all V V G clients and business contacts, and (ii) such foreign business who view our website seeking to do business in Southeast Asia with V V G. The criminal leaves us with no choice but to broadcast the truth.

VVG offered to remove this page immediately the Criminal Pham Huu Ai retracted his lies by sending letters to those he first wrote. The criminal refused to retract his lies for more than one month.

Our offer is therefore revoked. This notice will remain on line for as long as V V G has concern that the criminals' lies will be heard or read.

A brief description of the criminal and tortuous acts perpetrated to our knowledge, and copies of correspondence about the lies and crimes committed by the Criminal Pham Huu Ai, follow.  We will respond to all serious inquiries. Write to us and ask.

1. BLACKMAIL: Threatening to make intentionally false and malicious claims intending to bring harm and disrepute to innocent school boys and V V G's founder, their single parent. Mr. Pham Huu Ai writes of his intent to make false claims to authorities intending to harm these two formerly homeless boys whose adoption he worked on in Vietnam.
2. FRAUD: Misappropriation of company funds
3. FRAUD: Fraudulent raising contract prices to V V G clients for his own benefit
4. FRAUD: Intentional misrepresentation of cohorts as representatives of manufacturing concerns.
5. LARCENY: Improper taking of company private and confidential materials to establish his own business in direct competition.
6. LIABLE AND SLANDER: making intentionally  false statements to clients and business contacts of VVG to intentionally damage VVG and improperly gain thereby for himself by seeking to encourage V V G clients and contacts to leave V V G and go with him.
